KAPYAH / ABOUT KAPYAH

Curiosity. With a purpose.

We build technology for people doing demanding work. From industrial automation to unmanned aircraft, our focus is the same: understand the challenge, engineer the whole system, and make it useful in the field.

OUR VISION

A self-reliant future.
Built through understanding.

We believe lasting capability comes from knowing how things work—and having the freedom to make them better. Our ambition is to grow that capability here in India, from the smallest control decision to the complete aerial system.

That means connecting mechanical design, electronics, software and field experience. It means listening to operators, learning from trials, and improving the details that make technology dependable and easier to use.

OUR ROOTS

Engineering beyond
a single discipline.

Founded in Lucknow in 2012, KapYah’s published history follows applied engineering from industrial automation into unmanned aircraft systems.

  1. 2012

    KapYah Industries is incorporated.

The company was incorporated on 26 July, beginning a focus on practical engineering and service.

  2. 2012–13

    Engineering projects build the foundation.

The company prospectus records more than 300 engineering projects during this period.

  3. 2014

    Wireless torque monitoring reaches production.

The prospectus records recognition of KapYah’s wireless torque-wrench project by Mahindra & Mahindra, followed by the company’s first order.

  4. 2016–17

    Navigation research informs an AGV.

Work began on an automated guided vehicle using KapYah’s Absolute Coordinate Module. The company prospectus records a patent application in 2017.

  5. 2019–21

    Engineering expands into new systems.

The prospectus describes electric-vehicle prototyping, a portable-ventilator collaboration during 2020, and tracking antenna software developed with research scientists in 2021.

  6. 2022–23

    Tethered aircraft development begins.

KapYah’s prospectus records a tethered-drone development effort with 614 EME Battalion and 215 Field Workshop, bringing aircraft, ground power, a winch and an onboard reserve battery into one system.

  7. TODAY

    Build around the mission.

Tethered surveillance, optical and thermal observation, and aerial lighting serve different needs through a shared engineering approach.

WHAT DRIVES US

The care is in the details.

Start with the people using it.

Good engineering should help an operator focus on the task. Usability, training and service belong in the design conversation from the beginning.

Think in complete systems.

An aircraft is only part of the answer. Power, payload, control, transport and the ground equipment must work together.

Keep learning from the field.

We care about the journey from a working idea to a useful tool. Each trial is a chance to question, refine and improve.
